LocationThe Marden House Centre occupies a prominent position on the River Marden in the centre of Calne, close to the central crossroads with traffic lights. Look east, towards Marlborough, with the Town Hall on your right, and Marden House is the next building down the river.
By car, turn right at the traffic lights, then left down Patford Street to the end. Marden House is also on the edge of Castlefields Park, with its national cycleway and footpaths beside the canal. |
Getting to Calne, North WiltshireThere is no access by car over the bridge next to Marden House, but, instead, turn at traffic lights between Town Hall and Lansdowne Hotel and then left to Marden House along Patford
Street. Although the Postal Code is SN11 0JJ it is suggested you enter the car park postal code, SN11 0SQ, into your Sat. Nav. By CAR: Calne is on the A4 between Marlborough (13 miles) and Chippenham (6 miles), south of Junctions 16 and 17 on the M4. Swindon is 16 miles away, Bath 19, Bristol 34, and London 97 miles. By TRAIN and BUS: regular inter-city trains to Chippenham from London Paddington (70 minutes) and Bristol (30 minutes). Our own car park at the rear has 5 bays. The Church Street car park, just across the A4, has modest hourly charges between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Saturday. No charge on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
