After achieving international recognition as a BBC Young Musician finalist, Sarah is renowned as a virtuoso clarinettist whose talent has been recognised by concert-goers and critics alike. She has performed at many of the world’s major concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, The Wigmore Hall, The South Bank Centre, The Berlin Concerthaus and The Tonhalle Zurich. Simon performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, in parallel with a highly successful career as a recording artist. He is Artistic Director at London’s celebrated Conway Hall, only the sixth incumbent since the founding of the series in 1887, and Professor of Piano at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Their programme will include Finzi, Poulenc and Brahms.

A little history. As one of the oldest buildings in Calne Marden House was home to the Wharfinger who handled traffic on the Wilts and Berks Canal, which terminated here. Local people raised funds and obtained grants to renovate the building and convert it to a community and arts centre, the then HRH Prince Charles, now King Charles 111 gave his support
by visiting in 1988 (see the plaque on the front of the building), and the centre was opened in 1990.
